  World-Class Healthcare

Cleveland is proud of its manufacturing past and blue-collar heritage. However, the city has been transitioning from the “rust belt” region to a center of advanced research and technology, especially in the healthcare sector. This unique mix of old-school work ethic and new-wave innovation makes way for nationally recognized healthcare leaders—including the one-and-only Cleveland Clinic and the renowned University Hospitals. Cleveland is where healthcare, high-tech, and hard work meet.

  A Great Lake & Waterways

Whether it’s the vast, glistening expanse of Lake Erie or the twists and turns of the Cuyahoga River, Cleveland’s waterways are among its greatest assets. The best part? These massive bodies of water provide no shortage of opportunities for activity, adventure, and more than a little partying. It’s no secret that our beloved Cuyahoga caught on fire in 1969 due to pollution—but the tireless restoration and environmental reforms that followed, including CLEan Committed, have cleaned up the city for good and preserved fishing, boating, kayaking, and family fun for all ages.

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever kind of life you want, you’ll feel both welcome and at home in Cleveland.

  Rock & Roll

Earplugs? C’mon. This is Cleveland, where rock music reigns supreme. Not only did Cleveland DJ Alan Freed coin the term “rock ‘n’ roll” in the 1950s, but our city was the first to embrace quintessential rockers like Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie during the famous WMMS Coffee Break Concerts. Cleveland rocks so hard that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame set up shop here in 1983 and opened an incredibly family-friendly Museum in 1995. Indie, punk, classic, and rock artists of every persuasion prioritize Cleveland as a music tour hot-spot, invading our House of Blues and Cleveland Agora theaters, all for the love of the music.
